How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Join one of Cambridge's leading residential property teams
Are you highly organised, customer-focused and looking to build a career in residential property? At Bidwells, we're looking for an enthusiastic Lettings Coordinator to join our award-winning Residential team in Cambridge.
Working alongside experienced property professionals, you'll play a vital role in supporting the lettings process from marketing new properties through to successful tenancies. This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to develop your skills within one of the UK's leading property consultancies.

    What you'll be doing
As the hub of our busy Lettings team, you'll:

Coordinate the marketing of new rental properties, including photography, EPCs, online listings and social media.
Be the first point of contact for prospective tenants, handling enquiries via phone and email with exceptional customer service.
Register applicants, arrange viewings and manage feedback throughout the lettings process.
Support negotiations and assist with progressing offers through to completion.
Build strong relationships with landlords, tenants and relocation agents.
Assist with referencing, tenancy administration and post-let processes.
Keep our systems, property records and reporting up to date with excellent attention to detail.

    What we're looking for
You'll thrive in this role if you are:

An organised multitasker who enjoys working in a busy environment.
A confident communicator with outstanding customer service skills.
Proactive, positive and always willing to support the wider team.
    Detail-oriented with excellent administrative skills.
Experienced in a customer-facing, property or lettings environment (preferred).
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and keen to learn new systems.
Interested in marketing or digital property promotion (experience is beneficial but not essential).

Knowledge of the Cambridgeshire property market or experience using design software such as Photoshop would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

    Why Bidwells?
At Bidwells, you'll join a collaborative team that's passionate about delivering exceptional service. We invest in our people, provide genuine opportunities for career development, and offer exposure to some of the region's most desirable residential properties.
Whether you're looking to develop a long-term career in lettings or broaden your property experience, you'll be supported by experienced colleagues in a friendly, ambitious and professional environment.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (37 hours per week), plus one Saturday morning in every 4–5 weeks (9:00am–1:00pm) on a rota basis.
If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, develop your career and be part of a successful, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
