How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

    As a Maths Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
    Plan and deliver lessons in line with departmental schemes of work and curriculum objectives.
    Monitor, assess, and support student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
    Mark and assess student work accurately and in a timely manner.
    Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes a love of mathematics.
    Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students and encourage high levels of achievement.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
    Contribute to the wider life of the school and support departmental initiatives and enrichment activities.

    What We're Looking For

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
    Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
    Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for inspiring young people to enjoy mathematics.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching.
    Ability to motivate students of all abilities and support excellent progress.
