How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Highways & Construction Procurement Business Partner will manage procurement processes and strategies within the public sector, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks. This role is based in Liverpool one day per week and requires expertise in CIPS, PCR2015, and related procurement practices.

    Description

    Develop and implement procurement strategies for highways and construction projects.
    Ensure compliance with PCR2015 and PA23 regulations in all procurement activities.
    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide expert advice on procurement processes.
    Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
    Evaluate and negotiate contracts to achieve best value outcomes for the organisation.
    Monitor procurement performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
    Utilise NEC & JCT Contract forms
    Support the organisation in achieving its strategic objectives through efficient procurement practices.Profile

    A successful Highways & Construction Procurement Business Partner should have:

    Professional qualification in CIPS or equivalent procurement accreditation.
    Thorough knowledge of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations.
    Proven expertise in procurement within the public sector, particularly in highways and construction.
    Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
    Proficiency in using NEC and JCT Contracts.
    Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
