Remote Embedded Android Specialist

I'm recruiting for a business in Gloucester who are looking for an Embedded Android Developer on a contract basis. The work involves developing an android application on custom hardware involving video pipeline/streaming.

ROLE: Embedded Android Developer

LOCATION: Remote (some travel to Gloucester/Hampshire)

RATE: up to £60ph

DURATION: 6 months

IR35: Outside

Skills required for the Embedded Android Engineer are:

* Embedded Android expertise on non-phone hardware (this is i.MX8 but any similar processors considered)

* Experience designing media/video applications on Android

* Proficiency and knowledge of hardware/software interface

* Working with minimal supervision

The following are beneficial:

* ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK or similar

* SC clearance (not essential)

* Embedded Linux

* Video streaming protocols

REMOTE: The majority of the work can be done remotely with frequent travel to sites in Gloucester and Hampshire required.
