How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A global Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environment Manager / HSE Manager to join their team.
    The HSE Manager is responsible for leading the effective operation of all areas of Health, Safety & Environmental while maintaining and continuously improving all HSE controls.
    Reporting into the Plant Manager this Health, Safety and Environment Manager will need former experience within a busy manufacturing capacity.
    Health, Safety and Environment Manager / HSE Manager
    * The management and maintenance of all aspects of the HSE Management Systems
    * Prompt communication & reporting when dealing with accident / incident investigations & general queries relating to HSE matters.
    * Liaise directly with Production, Planning, Sales & Finance departments to ensure all HSE control system and procedures are adhered to.
    * On time reporting of all weekly, monthly, yearly HSE reports to the Plant Manager & relevant personnel as required.
    * Conducting and communicating Risk Assessments and creating Safe Systems of Work to ensure safe operations on site.
    * Management and proposal of capital and other special projects related to Health Safety and Environment. This includes assisting in establishing costs, working within budgets, managing contractors etc.
    * Responsible for co-ordinating and management of all Environmental & H/S audits to a successful conclusion.
    * Arrange and manage all HSE related training for appropriate employees as required.
    * Acceptance and support of all new systems and procedures as they are introduced that relate to HSE Management.
    * Management of sourcing and acquisition of PPE and associated H&S supplies.
    You will ideally be degree / equivalent qualified with a formal HSE qualification. Former experience leading HSE across a manufacturing site is essential.
