How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Merchandiser Opportunity | Manchester | Omni-Channel | Management Responsibilities | Superb Product

We are partnering with a fast-growing, multi-brand lifestyle business that is entering an exciting new phase of growth. Operating across retail, e-commerce and wholesale channels, the business has built a strong reputation for its product offering and customer experience and is now investing further in its merchandising capability.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser who is looking for more than just another trading role. You'll join a business where your expertise will genuinely influence how merchandising evolves, with the autonomy to shape processes, improve performance and support the next stage of growth.

    The Opportunity:

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take ownership of merchandising strategy across multiple channels, ensuring stock is planned, managed and traded effectively to maximise sales, availability and profitability.

Working closely with Buying, Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial teams, you'll become the central point of coordination across the product lifecycle, helping to ensure stock is in the right place, at the right time and supporting the commercial ambitions of the business.

As the company continues to scale, you'll also have the opportunity to influence how the merchandising function develops, bringing structure, best practice and commercial rigour to a growing organisation.

    Key Responsibilities:

Lead the merchandising strategy across retail, e-commerce and wholesale channels.

Own stock forecasting, inventory planning and stock cover to ensure optimum availability whilst controlling inventory investment.

Develop and manage markdown strategies that maximise margin and optimise stock productivity.

Build channel-specific trading strategies to support continued growth across all customer touchpoints.

Take ownership of merchandising systems, planning tools and reporting frameworks, driving continuous improvement and best practice.

Act as the key link between Supply Chain and the wider commercial teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the trading cycle.

Analyse sales, stock and performance data to identify commercial opportunities and manage potential risks.

Partner with Buying and Commercial teams to support range planning, forecasting and seasonal trading decisions.

Produce insightful reporting and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Champion merchandising excellence across the business, embedding robust planning processes as the company continues to grow.

    About You:

We're looking for a commercially minded Merchandiser who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management and a passion for driving business performance.

    You'll ideally bring:

Proven merchandising experience within a retail, fashion or lifestyle business.

Strong experience across omnichannel trading, including retail, e-commerce and wholesale.

Excellent knowledge of stock forecasting, inventory planning and stock cover management.

Experience developing markdown strategies and driving stock optimisation.

A strong understanding of merchandising systems, reporting tools and planning frameworks.

The confidence to influence cross-functional stakeholders and act as the commercial link between Supply Chain and the wider business.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

    Why Join?

This is a business where you'll have genuine influence. Rather than stepping into a mature merchandising function, you'll have the opportunity to shape how it develops, implement best practice and make a visible commercial impact.

If you're looking for a role that combines strategic responsibility with hands-on trading, within a business that values autonomy, collaboration and growth, we'd love to hear from you.
