How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    £52,000 - £62,000 + Industry Technical Training + 30 Days Holiday + Flex-Hours

    Office based, Commutable from Peterborough, Corby, Huntingdon, Wellingborough, Kettering, March, Spalding, Bourne and surrounding areas

    Are you from a Mechanical Design Engineering background with any leadership experience looking to further your career and step into Design Management, where you will work closely with the Technical Director, where you will take charge of a small specialist team, with the ability to directly impact the team, within this highly regarded British family run manufacturer?

    This is a rare and genuinely exciting opportunity, to step up in your career and wok closely with a highly established technical team, whilst increasing your technical abilities through in house training and Firstline managing a team of specialists.

    This is a highly regarded British manufacturer who have been established for over 40 years, they pride themselves on quality and expertise, and are now expanding their team, this role is being recruited due to growth and a goal to increase output by 20% in the next 18 months.

    This role will suit a Mechanical Design Engineering background with any leadership experience looking to further your career and step into Design Management, where you will work closely with the Technical Director, where you will take charge of a small specialist team, with the ability to directly impact the team, within this highly regarded British family run manufacturer.

    The Role:
    *Leading Projects from concept to grave as a task expert
    *Overseeing the Design Teams projects to ensure a high standard of worth is completed
    *Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm with flexi hours
