How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new clients across a variety of industries. You'll take ownership of the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation through to presenting tailored solutions and closing deals.

    This is a true new business role where you'll build your own pipeline through outbound sales activity, including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn networking, referrals, and attending networking events.

    Working closely with technical consultants, you'll gain a strong understanding of each client's requirements before delivering bespoke IT solutions that help them achieve their business goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity.
    Build, manage, and develop a healthy sales pipeline.
    Identify and qualify prospective customers across multiple sectors.
    Develop relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
    Conduct consultative meetings to understand customer challenges and requirements.
    Present tailored solutions across Managed IT, Cloud, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Business Continuity.
    Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close new business opportunities.
    Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
    Collaborate with technical and service delivery teams to ensure a smooth customer onboarding process.About You

    We're looking for someone who is:

    Experienced in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or technology sales.
    Confident prospecting and generating new business through outbound activity.
    A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
    Commercially aware, self-motivated, and target driven.
    Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
    Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools.
    Ambitious, resilient, and eager to build a long-term career within the technology sector.Previous experience selling Managed IT Services or IT solutions would be advantageous but isn't essential. If you have the drive to win new business and a passion for sales, we'd love to hear from you.
