How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Quantity Surveyor's Role

The successful Quantity Surveyor will join a growing, design-led property developer based in Central London, working on high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes across the capital.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants to move closer to the client side, gaining exposure to development, procurement, cost control, and project delivery from early feasibility through to completion.

The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with senior leadership, external consultants, contractors, and design teams, helping to manage project costs, monitor budgets, review variations, support procurement, and ensure commercial control across live developments.

Day to day, the Quantity Surveyor will assist with cost plans, tender analysis, valuations, contract administration, cost reporting, change control, and final accounts. The Quantity Surveyor will also have regular involvement in meetings and key commercial decisions.

This role would suit a confident Quantity Surveyor looking for a Central London role with responsibility, variety, and long-term progression within a close-knit developer environment.

    The Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying, or a RICS-accredited equivalent
    3+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
Developer, consultancy, or main contractor background considered
Strong pre and post contract knowledge
Experience with residential or mixed-use projects
    Confident with JCT contracts
    Commercially aware and well organised
    Professional, proactive, and client-facing

    In Return?

    £55,000 - £60,000
    Discretionary bonus
    Central London office
    Pension scheme
    Annual leave + bank holidays
    Long-term progression
    Direct exposure to senior leadership
    High-quality residential projects
    Supportive, close-knit team
    Varied developer-side role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor seeking a Central London position with strong project exposure, greater responsibility, and a clear route for progression within a growing property developer.
