How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Building Services Engineer
    Regent Street Estate, Central London
    Salary: £45,000+ per annum (Permanent)
    Alternative Option: Temporary to Permanent available at approximately £21.00+ per hour, transitioning to £46,000+ upon permanent employment.
    Location: Regent Street, London
    Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00

The estate consists of numerous high-profile buildings, requiring a first-class engineering service to maintain exceptional standards of operation and tenant experience.
    The Role
    An opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Engineer to join the engineering team responsible for maintaining multiple commercial buildings across the Regent Street Estate.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), responding to reactive maintenance issues and ensuring all building services systems are operating efficiently and safely.
    This role would suit either a Mechanical or Electrical bias engineer with strong multi-skilled capabilities.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance across all building systems.
    * Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns.
    * Undertake fault finding and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
    * Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to health and safety procedures.
    * Maintain accurate maintenance records through the CAFM system.
    * Support specialist subcontractors and oversee works when required.
    * Carry out plant room inspections and routine checks.
    * Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained with occupiers and stakeholders.
    * Assist with minor project and improvement works across the estate.
    Systems and Equipment May Include
    * HVAC systems
    * Air handling units (AHUs)
    * Fan coil units (FCUs)
    * Pumps and motors
    * Heating and cooling systems
    * BMS systems
    * Emergency lighting
    * Electrical distribution systems
    * Water systems
    * General building fabric
    Candidate Requirements
    * Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or similar.
    * Previous experience within commercial building maintenance.
    * Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
    * Strong fault-finding abilities.
