How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role will involve planning and delivering learning activities, assessing pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs, and supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils. You will play an important role in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment where children feel supported and motivated to succeed.

Working alongside teachers, SEN staff, and other support professionals, you will contribute to raising standards of attainment, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring all pupils receive high-quality learning opportunities throughout the school day.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Senior Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor with primary experience, Learning Mentor, or an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take on greater responsibility.

To be considered for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant position in Denton, you should have:

HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification, or significant experience working at HLTA level within a primary school.
Experience leading whole-class learning and delivering lessons across the primary age range.
Confidence planning and delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with pupils, teachers, parents, and external professionals.
A reliable, proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider school team.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will be subject to thorough interviewing and reference checks and must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
