How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Platinum Travel Recruitment are collaborating with a fabulous forward thinking travel company who are now seeking an experienced Travel Operations Specialist to join the team, hybrid working model.

    The ideal Travel Operations Specialist shall provide operational and documentation support across the guest journey, ensuring all logistical and administrative elements are delivered with precision and professionalism.

    This exciting Travel Operations Specialist role is ideal for a travel professional from a tour operator background with experience in sales support, administration, customer service or operations seeking a rewarding career.

    Travel Operations Specialist Duties:

    * Support the Sales team with administrative tasks including confirmation documents, final documents, itinerary updates, and guest communications.

    * Administrative support may include Tailormade Groups and Villa bookings

    * Ad Hoc requests for Educational, including agents & PR trips

    * Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.

    * Verify that confirmed services and costs match between suppliers and the reservation system.

    * Reconfirm all services to ensure guest expectations are met.

    * Perform system checks within the GDS.

    * ▪ Coordinate the successful operation of the group tour portfolio.

    * ▪ Prepare final rooming lists in line with supplier deadlines.

    * ▪ Liaise with the Air team to ensure flights are issued on time and within airline deadlines.

    * ▪ Ensure accurate client documentation from confirmation to final documents.

    * ▪ Collaborate with IT, Product, and Sales teams to ensure operational readiness for new launches.

    Travel Operations Specialist - Essential Requirements:

    * Previous experience in an administrative, operations or sales support role within the travel industry is essential

    * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

    * Familiarity with itinerary production and guest documentation.
