How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

    A welcoming primary school in Southwark is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured and supportive environment.

    This Southwark primary school offers a nurturing and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with SEN. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

    The Role
    As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

    Responsibilities include
    * Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1 to 1 and small group basis
    * Assisting with learning activities and classroom tasks
    * Helping to manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way
    * Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
    * Monitoring and recording pupil progress

    The School is Looking For
    * Experience working with children or young people preferred
    * Psychology graduates or candidates with a strong SEN interest
    * Strong communication and teamwork skills
    * A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
    * Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
