How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Producing finite element models using ANSYS and STAAD Pro.
    * Performing lifting analyses and assessing structural integrity under operational and environmental loading.
    * Designing and assessing offshore wind and renewable energy structures.
    * Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards, including DNV, API, ABS and Eurocodes.
    * Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports and supporting documentation.
    * Working closely with naval architects, mechanical engineers and drafting teams throughout project delivery.
    * Attending client meetings and providing technical engineering support where required.
    Skills/experience required:
    * Around 4-8 years' post graduate structural engineering experience including some experience within the offshore oil & gas or renewable energy sectors (essential)
    * A degree in Structural, Civil or Marine Engineering (or a related discipline).
    * Experience using structural analysis software such as ANSYS and/or STAAD Pro.
    * Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA/FEM).
    * An understanding of offshore structural design principles, including environmental and hydrodynamic loading.
    * Familiarity with offshore design codes such as DNV, API, ABS or Eurocodes.
    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a collaborative engineering team.
    * Experience with Python or MATLAB would be advantageous but is not essential.
