How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Company

    Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading machine tool manufacturer. 

    An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as a Service Engineer. This role would suit an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate becoming a key member of the Service Team.

    Job Description

    Field-based role travelling to customer sites to service Mazak machines as part of planned maintenance. Duties include fault diagnosis, machine alignment checks, and general servicing.

    The role involves representing Mazak to customers, working in a professional and safety-conscious manner at all times.

    Person Specification

    Essential Criteria

    Must have electrically or mechanical experience.
    Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics electrical drawings.
    Have basic programme experience (Mazak/Siemens/Heidenham).
    Understanding of levelling alignments and geometric of machine tools.

    Knowledge and understanding of different control systems.
    Experienced in the use of Mazatrol controls and the whole Mazak product range.
    Professional and customer focused attitude.
    A committed, 'can do' attitude.
    Flexible, able to work overtime, weekends and overnight stays.
    Clean driving licence.
    Strong problem-solving abilities.
    Ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
    Transferable skills that can be put across several different models of machines.
    Desirable Criteria

    5-axis knowledge would be beneficial.
    Experience of report writing.
