How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
    £48,000 to £51,000 + Health Scheme + Automation / PLC Training + Great Benefits
    Redruth, Cornwall (Commutable from: Falmouth, Truro, Helston, Newquay, Bodmin, Plymouth)

    Are you a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, looking to join an established local manufacturer, offering a highly varied days-based shift position where you will receive specialist training on PLCs and be able to progress?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading business, where you will work in a skilled team of engineers at their brand new state of the art factory.

    The company are a leading UK manufacturer and a recognised brand across the industry. Offering great development and long-term job opportunities, they now need several engineers to expand the team.

    In this role you will provide planned and preventive maintenance for the factory's manufacturing machinery, with occasional project work. Training can be provided for PLC work.

    The role would suit a maintenance engineer with electrical or mechanical bias who has experience working in a manufacturing environment or is looking to get into the industry.

    The Role:

    Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
    Maintain machinery on site, proactive and reactive maintenance
    Training matrix in place - PLC / Automation training
    12 hr shifts, Early's & Lates, 4 on 4 off patternThe Person:
