How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience in building services looking to take the next step in your career?

    A well-established and growing multidisciplinary building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its expanding team in Northwest London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, education, and mixed-use developments while developing your technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment.

    Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the design process, taking increasing responsibility for project delivery and client interaction as your career progresses.

    The Role

    As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across a varied portfolio of projects. You'll work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, helping deliver high-quality designs while continuing to develop your own technical and professional skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design electrical building services systems including lighting, small power, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and data installations.
    Assist in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
    Prepare electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and technical drawings.
    Produce designs using industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design packages.
    Coordinate designs with mechanical, public health, structural, and architectural teams.
    Attend client meetings, design team meetings, and site visits when required.
    Ensure designs comply with current British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry best practice.
    Support senior engineers with project delivery while taking ownership of your own workload.About You

    We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious, and eager to continue developing their career within building services consultancy.

    You'll ideally have:

    A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
    Around 2–5 years' experience within a building services consultancy.
    Experience designing electrical building services for UK construction projects.
    Good knowledge of British Standards and UK Building Regulations.
    Experience using AutoCAD and ideally Revit and electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or Relux.
    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
    A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to continue learning and progressing professionally.What's on Offer?
