How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    M&E Storeman – Major Student Accommodation Project – Manchester
    £19.00 per hour | 45 Hours per Week | July Start | 2-Year Project
    We are currently recruiting an experienced M&E Storeman to join a major student accommodation development in Manchester.
    Working for a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site M&E stores, ensuring materials are received, organised and distributed efficiently to support project delivery.
    This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a prestigious project with an expected duration of up to 2 years.
    The Role
    *
    Managing all deliveries into the site M&E stores.
    *
    Receiving, checking and recording incoming materials.
    *
    Organising and maintaining an efficient and well-managed stores area.
    *
    Allocating and issuing materials to site operatives and supervisors.
    *
    Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
    *
    Liaising with suppliers, site management and project teams.
    *
    Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and materials issued.
    *
    Ensuring the stores remain clean, organised and compliant with site procedures.

    Requirements
    *
    Previous experience working as an M&E Storeman or in a similar site stores role.
    *
    Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials.
    *
    Experience managing deliveries and allocating materials on construction projects.
    *
    Strong organisational and communication skills.
    *
    Ability to work closely with site management, supervisors and subcontractors.
    *
    CSCS Card Essential.
    *
    Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
