Shot Blaster

Multi Trades Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected powder coating and shot blasting company to recruit an experienced Shot Blaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to secure a permanent role.

The Role

As a Shot Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing metal components using shot blasting equipment to ensure surfaces are clean and ready for powder coating or further processing. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and maintain high-quality standards throughout.

Requirements

* Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence and/or Overhead Crane licence (at least one licence is essential)

* Previous shot blasting or industrial manufacturing experience is preferred

* Strong commitment to health and safety

* Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a good work ethic

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week

* Monday to Wednesday: 2:00pm – Midnight

* Thursday: 2:00pm – 11:30pm

Breaks:

* 30-minute unpaid dinner break

* Two paid 10-minute breaks per shift

Pay Rates

* One licence (FLT or Overhead Crane): £14.50 per hour + 9% shift allowance (£15.81)

* Two licences (FLT & Overhead Crane): £15.00 per hour + 9% shift allowance (£16.30)

Overtime is available after 37.5 hours:

* Monday to Saturday: Time and a half

* Sunday: Double time

PPE Provided

Employment Details

* Temporary to Permanent opportunity

* 3-month probation period, with performance reviewed before permanent employment is offered.
