How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This pioneering company is on a mission to transform the UK’s drone technology landscape and is already making significant strides in advancing next-generation UAV systems.  From cutting-edge flight control electronics to high-performance airborne platforms, they are redefining what’s possible in the drone space.

    This is a rare opportunity to make an immediate impact on real-world UAV technology, remaining hands-on with development while shaping the electronics architecture of a company scaling at pace in a high-growth sector.

    Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronics design
    Proactive, collaborative mindset with strong ownership of projects
    Resident in the UK for at least 5 years

    Start-up or scale-up experience, particularly in fast-paced R&D environments
    Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring junior engineers
    RF design for wireless communication and telemetry systems
    High-speed digital design (e.g. onboard processing, data handling for sensors/cameras)
    Low-speed analogue systems (e.g. sensor interfacing, power monitoring)
    Board bring-up and hardware validation for embedded systems
    Embedded Software skills, C/C++/Rust
    Power supply design, particularly for battery-powered or energy-efficient UAV platforms
