How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role can be based from any other our clients offices nationwide on a hybrid basis.

    Copello are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing Project Procurement team supporting major infrastructure and engineering programmes across the UK & Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting bid activity, supplier sourcing, subcontract management and procurement transformation within a leading engineering organisation.

    Key Responsibilities include

    * Manage end-to-end sourcing and subcontracting activities.

    * Lead supplier selection, onboarding and competitive tender processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP).

    * Draft and negotiate supplier agreements, working closely with commercial teams.

    * Support major bids and mobilisation of new contract awards.

    * Develop supplier scopes and ensure compliance with IR35, sustainability and social value requirements.

    * Provide procurement guidance and best practice to project teams and stakeholders.

    The successful candidate will have the following experience:

    * Proven Procurement & Supply Chain experience within engineering, infrastructure or major projects.

    * Strong experience managing sourcing exercises and supplier negotiations.

    * Hands-on experience drafting and managing NEC4 subcontracts (Professional Services and/or Works) is essential.

    * Commercially astute with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

    * Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

    * Engineering sector experience would be advantageous.

    This role will be paying £375 - £400 per day (inside IR35). Duration of this position is initially 6 months
