How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Female Healthcare Assistant – Paediatric Complex Care

    Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour | £17.50 per hour on Bank Holidays

    Hours (Part Time):

    * 2 shifts per week

    * 8:00am – 8:00pm

    * Flexibility to work alternate weekends is essential

    Apollo Home Healthcare is recruiting a compassionate Female Healthcare Assistant to provide 2:1 support for an 8-year-old girl with complex healthcare needs, within her home and community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Personal care and daily living support

    * PEG feeding, suctioning and oxygen therapy

    * Epilepsy care and seizure support

    * Moving and handling using specialist equipment

    * Supporting learning, play and daily activities

    About Our Client:

    Our client is an 8-year-old girl with complex needs including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairments, and developmental delay. She requires full support with all aspects of daily living. She enjoys sensory play, hydrotherapy, arts and crafts, stories, walks in the park, and interactive activities. She thrives on social interaction and enjoys being engaged in stimulating environments.

    Requirements:

    * Minimum 3 months' paid care experience in a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker role

    * Experience supporting children in a healthcare setting is essential

    * Experience with PEG, suctioning, oxygen therapy, epilepsy care and moving and handling is desirable

    * Right to work in the UK
