How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

This is not a typical construction project. You'll be joining a high-performing team delivering a major industrial scheme on an ambitious programme, where proactive planning, decisive leadership, and effective site management are essential. If you enjoy working in a fast-moving environment, thrive under pressure, and take pride in delivering exceptional projects, this is an opportunity to make a real impact while advancing your career with a market-leading contractor.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to join our team on a flagship industrial development, in the Bristol Area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who thrives in a high-performance environment and has a proven track record of managing complex packages on major construction projects.

You'll be an experienced Site Manager with a strong background delivering large-scale construction projects within demanding programmes.

    You'll have:

    * Proven experience managing major industrial, logistics, manufacturing, commercial, or data centre projects.

    * Experience working for a Tier 1 or leading main contractor.

    * A strong focus on programme delivery without compromising safety or quality.

    * Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams.

    * Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and subcontractor management.

    * The ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

    * Experience managing multiple work fronts simultaneously.

    * SMSTS.

    * CSCS Black or Gold Card.

    * First Aid at Work qualification.

    * A relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) is desirable.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage the day-to-day delivery of designated work areas, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

    * Lead and coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and site supervisors to maintain productivity and programme milestones.

    * Drive short-term planning and daily site coordination to meet an accelerated construction programme.

    * Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement practical solutions to maintain programme.

    * Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

    * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure efficient site operations.

    * Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and snagging to ensure work is delivered right first time.

    * Manage site documentation, permits, inspections, and reporting requirements.

    * Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

    * Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing site culture
