HGV Delivery Driver - Based from Newent, Gloucestershire - Door manufacturer

Unity Doors is a specialist in the design, manufacture and supply of Timber and Composite doorsets.  We are recruiting for a Delivery Driver (with a HGV 2 license) to join our logistics team at our head office in Newent, Gloucestershire.

Reporting to:         Manufacturing & Engineering Manager

Location:               Based at our Head Office in Newent, Gloucestershire

Hours work:          Monday to Friday, 45-50 hours per week (Guaranteed 45 hours contract)

We are recruiting for a Delivery Driver with valuable experience of driving vehicles up to 18 tonne (HGV 2). The set-up of our transport team means that there will be flexibility required in which vehicle is driven, so driving of a 7.5 tonne lorry or a 3.5 tonne van will be on a rotational basis.  You will be delivering our doorsets to a variety of customers, so the number of drops will vary (on average between 5-10 per day).

Suitable candidates will require; 

Current driving license with valid CPC and Tacho card up to HGV 2 (minimum)

Be physically fit and used to manual handling of products

Used to starting early (3am onwards)

Good knowledge of the main motorway networks across England

Willing to stay out overnight on occasion 

Professional, committed and passionate about doing the job to the best of their ability

Based out at the Newent Business Park, so candidates must have their own transport.
