How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your New Company

    Your New Role

As a Senior Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading architectural design services across diverse sectors. Acting as a key advisor to clients, you will manage multi‑disciplinary teams and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. From feasibility studies to site meetings, your expertise will guide every stage of the process.
    Key Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects valued between £300k-£10m.
Interpret complex client briefs and develop strategic design responses aligned with sector requirements.
Act as Lead Consultant, coordinating with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Produce site appraisals, feasibility studies, and planning applications, including those requiring security clearance.
Prepare detailed designs for competitive tender, manage tendering processes, and conduct post‑tender analysis.
Serve as Project Manager/Contract Administrator, overseeing site progress, technical compliance, and financial performance.
Ensure adherence to UK Building Regulations and sector‑specific standards.
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior architects and technicians.
Promote collaborative working across disciplines and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Support business development through client engagement and proposal input.
    What You'll Need to Succeed

    RIBA Part III qualified.
Proven experience in the defence sector or other secure environments.
Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; BIM experience desirable.
Excellent design, technical, and graphic communication skills.
Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and NBS specification writing.
Ability to work within QA standards and contribute to sustainability objectives.
Experience of a multi‑discipline project environment, ideally across Defence, Maritime or similar infrastructure settings (desirable but not essential).
    What You'll Get in Return

Opportunities for flexible and remote working.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with long service recognition and festive shutdown.
Competitive salary with regular review and benchmarking.
    Enhanced company pension scheme.
    Health cash plan scheme.
    Professional membership support.
    Family policies and wellbeing programmes.
Cycle to Work scheme and on‑site parking.
    Death in service benefit.
    Early finish Fridays.
    Additional leave for volunteering.
Fully expensed seasonal social events and team‑building activities.
Employee referral scheme and working groups.
