How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

    West London (Office & Site Based)

    £40,000 - £55,000 + Training + Progression + Bonus + Overtime

    This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a growing tier-one refurbishment contractor delivering high-specification commercial and luxury refurbishment projects across London. You will gain exposure across the full project lifecycle while developing within a business known for investing heavily in training and promoting from within.

    Are you a Quantity Surveyor with a few years of experience looking to accelerate your development? Do you want exposure to commercial fit-out, refurbishment and high-end construction projects while working closely with experienced professionals? Are you looking for a business where progression is genuinely based on performance rather than time served?

    This specialist main contractor delivers commercial fit-outs, luxury refurbishment and Section 20 works across London and nationwide. Operating with a close-knit team environment, the business continues to grow through quality delivery, long-term client relationships and investing in the development of its people.

    You will support commercial delivery across multiple projects while gaining exposure to valuations, subcontractor management, tendering, client liaison and project delivery. Working closely with senior team members, you will build broad commercial experience within a fast-moving environment.

    This role would suit an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is ambitious, commercially aware and motivated by long-term progression.

    The Role:
    * Supporting commercial delivery across refurbishment and fit-out projects
    * Assisting with valuations, subcontractor packages and project reporting
    * Liaising with clients, attending site meetings and supporting delivery teams
    * Developing commercial and project management skills across multiple live projects

    The Person:
    * Quantity Surveying experience within construction, fit-out, drylining or refurbishment
    * Commercial awareness and willingness to learn
    * Strong communication and organisation skills
    * Ambitious and motivated by progression opportunities
