How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Turn Your Creativity Into Real Impact – Support Children with Additional Needs Every Day

    Creative Arts Assistant (full-time, temporary)
    Salford
£463 - £525 per week PAYE (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
    Start date: September 2026

    The School and Role
Join a welcoming specialist SEN school in Salford where creativity is used as a powerful tool to unlock potential. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs, including Autism, in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

As a Creative Arts Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping pupils express themselves, build confidence, and engage with learning through creative activities such as art, music, and drama. Working closely with experienced teachers and support staff, you’ll provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, making a genuine difference to each child’s development.

If you’re looking for a role where your creativity can genuinely change lives while building a career in education or SEN, this is an opportunity not to miss.

    Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will:

Have a background in or passion for creative arts (e.g. art, music, drama, performance)
Bring experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (school, care, youth work, or similar)
Show a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism and SEMH needs
Be patient, resilient, and confident in a specialist school environment
Communicate effectively and bring a positive, proactive attitude every day
    What we offer
As a Creative Arts Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from:

Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability).
    Social and networking events.
    Pension contributions.
CPD to help with your professional development.
    Access to a dedicated consultant.
Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.
