How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated CSCS Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with various site activities, supporting skilled trades and ensuring smooth project progression. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple construction disciplines, including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and more. The ideal applicant will be physically fit, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the construction industry.

    Responsibilities

    * Assist tradespeople with their tasks by handling materials and tools efficiently

    * Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organising equipment

    * Support with the installation of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, plastering, masonry, and carpentry work as required

    * Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision

    * Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment

    * Assist with fabrication tasks and reading schematics for various projects

    * Contribute to site organisation by maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the working area

    * Support in construction painting and other finishing activities as directed

    Skills

    * Experience working with civil engineering companies

    * Valid CSCS card

    * Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks

    * Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings is beneficial

    * Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a construction environment

    * Physically fit with good organisational skills and attention to detail

    * Willingness to learn new skills across different trades within the construction sector

    * Strong team player with reliable work ethic and positive attitude
