How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic

    Location: Coulsdon

    Salary: Up to £60,000 OTE

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    The Role

    As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs

    Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

    Completing vehicle health checks and inspections

    Performing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications

    Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards

    Accurately completing workshop documentation and service records

    Providing technical support and advice where required

    Working collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve productivity targets

    About You

    To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

    NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

    A minimum of two years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry

    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

    A valid MOT Licence (desirable but not essential)

    Your own tools and toolbox

    A full UK manual driving licence

    The right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

    A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
