Night Transport Planner

Permanent Role | Sunday - Thursday | 7:00pm - 5:00am

£50K salary / Car Allowance / 33 days holiday

Are you an experienced Transport Planner with container transport experience? Containerised Transport experience ESSENTIAL

We're looking for a proactive and organised individual to join a busy, fast-paced transport operation where no two nights are the same.

The Role

You'll be responsible for coordinating drivers, managing customer deliveries, liaising with ports, and ensuring transport operations run smoothly and efficiently throughout the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate container transport movements.
Monitor driver progress and manage ETAs.
Liaise with ports, customers, and drivers to ensure service levels are maintained.
Book delivery and collection slots.
Update transport systems and maintain accurate records.
React quickly to operational challenges and adjust plans as required.

What We're Looking For

✔ Previous experience as a Transport Planner or Transport Operator
✔ Essential container transport experience
✔ Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport operations
✔ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
✔ Experience using transport management systems (TOPS desirable)
