How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician / Vehicle MET Technician

    Location: Milton Keynes

    Salary: £45,000 Basic Salary | OTE £50,000

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    The Role

    As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and refitting vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components

    Diagnosing and replacing damaged vehicle parts

    Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods

    Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround

    Completing quality checks before vehicles are returned to customers

    Maintaining accurate workshop documentation

    Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations

    About You

    To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

    Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, or Vehicle Strip Fitter within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre

    A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent

    Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques

    Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

    The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

    A positive attitude and strong work ethic
