How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER

    Job Title: Engineering Team Leader

    Location: Gainsborough

    Salary: Up to £52,(Apply online only)

    Shift: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights

    Job Role of the Engineering Team Leader

    An exciting opportunity has become available for an Engineering Team Leader to join a market-leading heavy industrial manufacturing business that continues to invest in its people, engineering function and production facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Engineering Team Leader to play a key role in driving reliability, supporting continuous improvement and leading a well-established engineering team.

    The successful Engineering Team Leader will split their time between hands-on maintenance and leading the shift engineering team, ensuring plant reliability, supporting production and driving engineering standards across the site.

    Sector - Heavy Industrial Manufacturing

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Team Leader

    Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent).
    Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical skills.
    Manufacturing background.
    Requirements for the Engineering Team Leader

    Strong electrical fault-finding experience.
    Experience carrying out reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance.
    Previous experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
    Experience working on industrial plant and production machinery.
    Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis experience.
    Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical equipment.
    Desirable Requirements for the Engineering Team Leader

    Comfortable working at heights.
    Physically fit and able to work within a demanding industrial environment.
    Welding and fabrication experience.
    Food, FMCG, Agricultural or Heavy Industrial manufacturing experience.
