How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver

    Location: Bury St Endmunds
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
    Salary: £33,000 per annum

    Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking a dependable and professional HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver for a well-established distribution business based in Bury.     The Role

    As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering construction-related products to customers across the local region while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver roofing, cladding, and associated materials to customer sites.
    Safely load, unload, and transport goods, ensuring all deliveries arrive in excellent condition.
    Operate a HIAB crane where required (full training available for suitable candidates).
    Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
    Ensure all loads are correctly secured and comply with transport regulations.
    Complete delivery documentation accurately and efficiently.
    Adhere to Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Road Traffic regulations at all times.
    Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
    Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a positive company image.
    Assist with general depot and yard duties when required.
    Candidate Requirements

    Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
    Driver CPC qualification.
    Digital Tachograph card.
    Strong communication and customer service skills.
    Ability to complete paperwork accurately.
    Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional approach to work.
    HIAB certification
