We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering and fabrication company based in Smethwick, for an experienced Flame Cutter to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience working with heavy gauge steel to secure a permanent position with competitive pay, paid lunch breaks, and regular overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating oxy-fuel flame cutting equipment on heavy gauge steel materials.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Measuring, marking, and preparing materials for cutting.
Producing accurate cuts to required dimensions and tolerances.
Supporting fabrication and welding departments with prepared materials.
Conducting routine equipment checks and maintaining a safe working environment.
Adhering to all health and safety procedures relating to hot work activities.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Flame Cutter.
Proven experience working with heavy gauge steel.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
