How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Temporary Receptionist – Front Desk Administrator |£15.38 per hour | Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm | 3 to 6 months
    Golborne, WA3 3JD | Onsite parking and canteen

    Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Temporary Receptionist to join a busy manufacturing site in Golborne. This role offers consistent weekday hours, a competitive hourly rate and the chance to build experience within a fast-paced industrial environment. This opportunity will suit an experienced Receptionist, Administrator or Office Coordinator who enjoys a varied front-of-house and office support role.

    As a Receptionist / Front Desk Administrator, you will:

    Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service as the first point of contact for visitors, customers and contractors
    Manage the site switchboard, visitor bookings, meeting rooms, deliveries and contractor inductions
    Coordinate travel arrangements including flights, accommodation, taxis and external meetings
    Handle incoming and outgoing post, arrange shipments and provide tracking information
    Support external enquiries and ensure a high standard of customer service at all times
    Organise catering, maintain meeting rooms and ensure office areas are fully stocked and presentable
    Monitor and order office, kitchen and PPE supplies
    Support facilities coordination and assist with health and safety compliance processes
    Skills and experience
    Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Desk Administrator, Administrator or Office Coordinator
    Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional and confident manner
    Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail
    Ability to work independently and use initiative
    Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment would be beneficial
