How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Overview
    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operative / FLT Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and handling materials efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and machine operative skills to contribute to a well-organised operation.

    Hours:

    * Must be able to work shifts (rotating weekly)

    * 6am - 2pm / 2pm -10pm

    Duties

    * Operate sheeting/ reel loading machinery (or sections of the machine) in co-operation with other team members.

    * Machine operating.

    * Undertake the movement of materials (raw and finished) in a safe and efficient manner.

    * Contribute to a safe and clean working environment in the workplace.

    * Carry out and document safety checks before commencement when operating machinery.

    * Uphold the quality and hygiene standards required to meet the companies’ accreditations.

    * Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the challenges given.

    * Follow documented works instruction carrying out checks to ensure adherence to quality.

    * Prepare materials required to produce the expected orders.

    * Carry out and document quality checks at multiple stages of the production process.

    * Contribute to the teams’ efforts to meet production requirements.

    * Wrap, strap and label product ensuring that it matches the product and meets the customer’s requirement.

    * Co-operate with the team to effectively manage the workspace to best accommodate material movements.

    * Have a good awareness of the movement of people and vehicles within the work area to always ensure safe practice.

    * Maintain a high level of time keeping.

    * Communicate in a respectful and proactive manner with all staff.

    * Must be able to work shifts (rotating weekly)

    Qualifications

    * Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) utilisation

    * Valid forklift licence (FLT certification) with demonstrable experience in forklift operation

    * Knowledge of equipment repair and basic mechanical skills

    * Experience in machine operating

    * Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to perform basic maths accurately

    * Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable

    * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts

    * Good organisational skills with attention to detail

    * Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
