How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Music Technician – Secondary School | Ealing
    Full-Time Opportunity 

    Pertemps Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving and well-regarded secondary school in Ealing, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Technician to join their vibrant Music Department.
    This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for music and strong organisational skills to play a key role in supporting the delivery of an engaging and dynamic music curriculum. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and students to ensure the department runs smoothly and that resources, equipment and performance spaces are maintained to a high standard.
    The RoleAs Music Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Music Department, including:

    Preparing classrooms, instruments and equipment for lessons, rehearsals and performances.
    Maintaining, tuning and organising musical instruments and resources.
    Providing technical support for concerts, productions, recitals and school events.
    Supporting students and staff with the use of music technology and audio equipment.
    Managing the department's stock, equipment inventory and ordering of resources where required.
    Ensuring music rooms, practice spaces and storage areas are safe, organised and well maintained.
    Assisting with the setup and operation of sound and lighting equipment for performances and events.The school is looking for someone who:

    Has experience working with musical instruments and equipment, ideally within an educational environment.
    Possesses a good understanding of music technology, audio equipment and recording software.
    Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Demonstrates a genuine passion for music and supporting young people in their musical development.
    Is proactive, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Experience working as a Music Technician or within a school music department would be advantageous, although candidates with relevant technical and musical experience from other settings are encouraged to apply.
