How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Shape Quality Excellence Across Major Infrastructure and Construction Projects

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to join a leading engineering and construction organisation delivering some of the UK's most complex and high-profile projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who thrives on influencing business performance, driving continuous improvement, and embedding best practice across projects and corporate functions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing quality standards, supporting project delivery teams, and developing a culture of operational excellence throughout the business.

    The Opportunity

As Senior Quality Manager, you will support the strategic direction of the organisation's quality function while acting as a trusted advisor to project teams and stakeholders. Your remit will span governance, assurance, improvement initiatives, supply chain quality, bid support, and project mobilisation activities. You will also have the opportunity to deputise for the Head of Quality when required and contribute to organisation-wide quality improvement programmes.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Support the development and implementation of quality strategies and improvement initiatives.
    - Lead quality planning activities for project bids, tenders and mobilisation phases, including the development of project quality plans and associated deliverables.
    - Provide quality leadership during early project development and start-up phases.
    - Deliver internal and supplier quality audits in line with ISO 9001 and company standards.
    - Support supplier assessment, assurance and development activities across the supply chain.
    - Monitor, investigate and drive closure of quality non-conformances.
    - Analyse quality performance data, identify trends and implement improvement actions.
    - Facilitate lessons-learned workshops and promote knowledge sharing across projects and business functions.
    - Develop and deliver quality awareness training and coaching programmes.
    - Support external certification, client audits and regulatory assurance activities.
    - Act as a visible champion for quality, collaboration, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

    - Significant experience within a quality management role in construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, transportation, defence, utilities or other highly regulated environments.
    - Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
    - Experience conducting internal and external quality audits.
    - Auditor qualification (IRCA Lead Auditor or equivalent) would be highly advantageous.
    - Experience supporting major projects from bid stage through delivery.
    - Knowledge of supplier quality assurance and supply chain development.
    - Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
    - Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
    - A proactive and collaborative approach with the confidence to influence at all levels of an organisation.
    - Competence using Microsoft Office applications and common document management systems.

    Why Join?

This role offers the opportunity to influence business-wide quality performance while working on complex, challenging projects that make a real impact. You will join a forward-thinking organisation that values integrity, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement, where quality is recognised as a critical component of successful project delivery.

    What You'll Gain

    - Competitive salary and benefits package.
    - Hybrid working arrangements.
    - Exposure to major infrastructure and engineering programmes.
    - Career progression opportunities within a growing organisation.
    - The chance to lead meaningful improvement initiatives and shape quality culture across the business.
