How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Injection Moulding Setter - UK

    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to oversee the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of injection moulding machines. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

    The team works on a continental 4-On 4-Off, 12 hour shift pattern, which rotates days and nights.

    Key Responsibilities

    Set up and operate injection moulding machines in accordance with production schedules and specifications.
    Adjust machine parameters to optimise cycle times and product quality.
    Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on moulded components.
    Identify and troubleshoot machine faults or defects, implementing corrective actions promptly.
    Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of moulding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    Maintain accurate production records and documentation for traceability and quality assurance.
    Collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets and quality standards.
    Assist in the changeover of moulds and set up new production runs efficiently.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
    Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, machine operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
    Knowledge of moulding machine controls and settings, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in plastics technology or manufacturing.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
    Team player with effective communication skills.
