Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work full-time across a range of primary schools in Ellesmere Port. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants looking to take the next step, or graduates seeking valuable classroom experience.
Working across a variety of welcoming primary schools, you'll play a key role in ensuring pupils remain engaged in learning when teachers are absent.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising whole-class learning during teacher absences.
Delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils remain on task.
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate.
Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.No lesson planning or marking is required, allowing you to focus on supporting pupils and maintaining high standards within the classroom.

Have experience working with children or young people.
Are confident managing groups of pupils.
Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable.
Have a genuine interest in education and child development.
Are able to quickly build positive relationships within school settings.Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Tutor, or Mentor would be highly beneficial, although full support will be provided for suitable candidates.
