How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Area Sales Representative – Retail Flooring

    North East Region | £32,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (OTE £45,000–£55,000) | Fully Expensed Company Car

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful British flooring manufacturer with over 40 years of heritage, supplying high-quality carpets and hard flooring to retailers and contractors across the UK.

    We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Area Sales Representative to manage and develop an established customer base throughout the North East, while identifying and securing new business opportunities within independent flooring retailers and flooring contractors.

    This is a field-based role focused on building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and maximising opportunities across our extensive flooring portfolio. In addition to sales activity, you will ensure product displays remain current and well-presented through regular merchandising and sample updates.

    To be successful, you will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and commercially driven, with a proven ability to build rapport and develop long-term customer relationships. Previous flooring industry experience is essential, either in a field sales role or within a flooring retail environment.
