How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, local authorities and statutory bodies
    • Prepare technical reports, design information and project documentation
    • Facilitate workshops, design reviews and project meetings
    • Support risk management processes and project governance
    • Contribute to business development initiatives and sector growth opportunities
    • Help shape design standards and best practice within the commercial sector

    What We're Looking For

    Essential Experience

    • Qualified Architect with significant UK project experience
    • Proven track record delivering complex workplace and commercial developments
    • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction legislation
    • Experience managing projects through technical delivery stages
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to confidently engage with clients, consultants and statutory authorities
    • Strong design, technical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs

    Desirable Attributes

    • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and associated compliance requirements
    • Passion for sustainable and innovative design solutions
    • Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business growth
    • Ambition to progress into senior leadership or Associate-level positions

    Why Join?

This is an opportunity to become part of a highly respected design practice that places equal emphasis on design quality, sustainability, employee wellbeing and long-term career development.

    You'll benefit from:

    • Hybrid, flexible and agile working arrangements
    • Clear progression pathways towards Senior Leadership and Associate level
    • Exposure to high-profile workplace and commercial projects
    • Comprehensive benefits package
    • Ongoing professional development and training support
    • Mentoring and leadership development opportunities
    • Collaborative and inclusive culture
    • Modern working environment within a thriving Bristol studio
