How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Residential Support Worker
    Location: Rochester, Kent
    Salary: £35,360 per annum (inclusive of up to 8 sleep-ins per month)

    We are looking for caring, resilient and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our growing organisation.     As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and structured environment where young people can develop confidence, resilience, independence and essential life skills. You will support them to engage in education, leisure activities, personal development opportunities and everyday experiences that help them reach their full potential.
    Salary & Benefits
    Salary is £35,360 per annum and includes up to 8 sleep-ins per month. If fewer than 8 sleep-ins are available, your salary will not be reduced. Additional sleep-ins are paid at £50 per sleep-in and any hours worked above your contracted monthly hours will be paid at your standard hourly rate.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver high standards of care, support and safeguarding for children and young people.

    Requirements
    Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins as part of a rota. Previous experience within children's residential care is desirable, along with an understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
    Candidates should either hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
