How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Technician

    £40,000 - £44,000 + Excellent Training + Progression + Overtime + 4-Day Week + Company Benefits

    Newcastle (Commutable from Gateshead, Prudhoe, Consett, Sunderland, Birtley, Chester-le-Street, North Shields, Cramlington, Blyth)

    Are you a Maintenance Technician from a manufacturing or industrial environment looking to develop your skills and progress your career?

    This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical ability and basic electrical knowledge who wants to build their electrical skillset further. You'll be working on a wide range of machinery, carrying out mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repairs, while receiving ongoing training to help you grow into a fully rounded Maintenance Engineer.

    This well?established fabrication business operates a busy site in Newcastle and offers exposure to a broad mix of equipment and systems.

    In this role, you'll be part of the maintenance team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across fabrication and manufacturing machinery, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

    This role would suit a mechanically biased Maintenance Technician who wants to develop their electrical capability and progress within a supportive engineering team.
