How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Referral Co-Ordinator

    Salary: Up to £32,285 per annum, depending on experience

    Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in social care?

    We are looking for a Referral Co-Ordinator to manage the journey of new referrals into our services. Acting as the first point of contact for local authorities, NHS partners, professionals, and families, you will ensure referrals are handled efficiently and that people receive the right support at the right time.

    What you'll do:

    Manage and track all incoming referrals and enquiries.

    Assess referrals against service capacity and suitability.

    Coordinate assessments and support smooth transitions into services.

    Work closely with operational teams to identify vacancies and match suitable individuals.

    Maintain accurate records and reporting data.

    Analyse market demand and commissioning trends to support future service growth.

    Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide regular updates.

    What we're looking for:

    Experience in health and social care.

    Understanding of funding arrangements and commissioned services.

    Strong organisational, communication, and data analysis skills.

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.

    Confidence using digital systems, including Microsoft Office.
