How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Parts Advisor / Parts Person
    Location: St Albans
    Salary: £30,000 Basic Salary + Bonus
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    Looking for a Parts Advisor role where you can build a long-term career within a busy and successful Accident Repair Centre?

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Parts Advisor or Parts Person to join a professional Bodyshop environment where you'll play a key role in supporting workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction. Working within a fast-paced operation, you'll be responsible for ensuring the right parts are sourced, ordered, and supplied at the right time to keep repairs moving smoothly.

    The Role
    As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for managing vehicle parts requirements, maintaining stock levels, and supporting the smooth running of the Bodyshop operation.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    ·Ordering vehicle parts and accessories from approved suppliers
    ·Managing stock control and inventory levels
    ·Processing parts sales and customer enquiries
    ·Liaising with technicians, estimators, and workshop staff to ensure parts availability
    ·Handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
    ·Monitoring outstanding orders and delivery schedules
    ·Ensuring accurate record keeping and system updates
    ·Delivering excellent customer service at all times

    About You
    To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
    ·Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Person, Parts Sales Advisor, or Automotive Parts Specialist
    ·Experience within the automotive industry, ideally within a Bodyshop, dealership, or motor factor environment
    ·Knowledge of Kerridge, 1Link, Pinnacle, or similar DMS systems
    ·Strong organisational and stock management skills
    ·Excellent communication and customer service abilities
    ·A proactive and target-driven approach to work
    ·The ability to work effectively within a busy environment
