How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Economics and Business Teacher looking for a full-time role from September 2026?

    Do you have strong subject knowledge across GCSE and A-level Economics and Business?

    An outstanding secondary school in Waltham Forest is looking to appoint an Economics and Business Teacher on a full-time, one-year fixed term contract from September 2026. The school has excellent behaviour and strong academic outcomes, offering a positive and purposeful environment for a committed teacher to make a lasting impact.

    The successful Economics and Business Teacher will teach mixed ability groups from Year 10 onwards. Students follow the AQA syllabus at A-level for Economics and Business, the AQA syllabus for GCSE Business and the OCR syllabus for GCSE Economics. The Economics and Business department achieves outstanding results across both key stages, and there is a TLR available with this role for a KS4 Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Economics and Business Teacher seeking additional responsibility within a high-performing department.

    To be considered for this role, you will:
    • Hold QTS
    • Have a degree in Economics, Business or a closely related subject
    • Have experience teaching Economics and Business at GCSE and/or A-level
    • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach mixed ability groups
    • Be able to contribute to outstanding outcomes across KS4 and KS5
    • Hold UK Right to Work
