A growing and ambitious organisation is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team in Syston. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or qualified accountant who is looking to take ownership of a key finance role within a business experiencing continued growth and investment.
Reporting into a senior finance leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting decision making, and ensuring strong financial controls across the division. This role offers genuine progression opportunities, with a clear pathway towards Financial Controller level for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Owning the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of management accounts.
Preparing and posting journals including accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
Producing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Delivering monthly reporting packs, variance analysis and financial commentary.
Supporting forecasting and budgeting processes.
Maintaining robust financial controls and assisting with VAT returns and compliance activities.
Coaching and supporting junior finance team members.
Contributing to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.About You:
Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with study support available where required.
Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role with responsibility for month-end processes.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
