We are seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our local household waste management team. You will drive a modern refuse collection vehicle (RCV) along designated domestic residential routes.
This is a hands-on, community-facing role. Unlike standard driving jobs, this is an active, teamwork-focused position where you must be willing to jump out of the cab and help the crew load bins when needed. Class 2 HGV Domestic Refuse Driver
Location: Stowmarket (IP14)
Salary: £16.59 per hour (£18.59 with advanced holiday)
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: (Apply online only), Monday to Friday (No nights, no weekends!)
Key Responsibilities
Drive Safely: Navigate tight residential streets and cul-de-sacs with high caution.
Muck In: Actively assist the loaders with pulling, hooking, and emptying wheelie bins.
Vehicle Checks: Complete daily walk-around checks and report vehicle defects.
Keep Control: Safely operate the hydraulic bin-lifting mechanisms.
Maintain Compliance: Adhere strictly to tachograph rules and domestic health and safety guidelines.
What We Need From You
Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (No more than 6 points)
Credentials: Up-to-date CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
Team Attitude: Complete willingness to work hard outside the cab alongside your loading team.
Fitness: High physical stamina to handle a demanding role in all weather conditions.
Reliability: A punctual professional with a strong attendance record.
