How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for a senior, varied role where you can lead food safety, quality, compliance and technical standards across CEA, processing and ingredients operations?

    Job Title: Technical Manager

    Location: Boston

    Salary: £60,000 - £80,000

    This Technical Manager role is a brilliant opportunity for a confident technical and quality professional who takes pride in high standards, enjoys working across multiple operational areas and can provide strong leadership around food safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

    As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Food Safety and Quality Management System across CEA, processing and ingredients operations, ensuring the business remains compliant with legal, customer and certification requirements. You will act as the key technical contact for customers, certification bodies and regulatory authorities, while supporting business growth through effective technical leadership, audit management and customer engagement.

    As a Technical Manager, your responsibilities will include:

    Leading and improving the Food Safety and Quality Management System

    Ensuring compliance with legislation, BRCGS, Red Tractor and customer standards

    Developing and maintaining HACCP systems across operational areas

    Managing audits and maintaining strong audit readiness

    Acting as the key technical contact for customers, auditors and regulatory bodies

    As a Technical Manager, you will need:

    •          Senior technical or quality management experience within food, fresh produce, agriculture, processing or ingredients

    •          Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality assurance and compliance

    •          Proven experience leading internal, external and customer audits

    •          Strong communication, leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills

    As Technical Manager, you will need to be proactive, resilient and solutions-focused, with the ability to work effectively under pressure within a fast-moving production environment. You will have high levels of integrity, accountability and professionalism, alongside a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
